BackingBlackBlog: Twenty-Third Piece

It has been days since our last read, and while the Man-Flu is trying to steal my mo-jo, for your reading pleasure… or is it pain?… Whatever it is, I type on!

Some days have passed since the Blackness sucked the life out of the Jersey of Bling… if only they could do something about the colour of that shirt. And while the Wobblies troubled us for 60, if only they had the “puff” of that storm the size of the Wobbly nation that has blown us from pillar to post, they may have had a chance of outlasting our Boys in All Black!

While the warm fuzzies are invading your interiors as you reflect on the loose-forward double act, who went back-to-back, to bring the All Blacks back… then forward, onto victory, 23-22, let me also transform your disposition by continuing on. This victory locked in the All Blacks’ unbeaten run of International victories to 15, which also includes going through unbeaten in this year’s Tri-Nations and the Bledisloe [to-date].  Yes, I know, a period of All Blacks play to remember!

As I type, it is only 5 weeks and change until this All Blacks history and tradition get us all going once again… Oh, and we at BackingBlack will be riding shot-gun all the way!

However, before we get to that, it is incumbent on me to announce the WINNERS… Two Winners, one from Canterbury, because we love you, and one from everywhere and anywhere else on this planet, because we give to love, and love to give!

Without further bloviation [translation: to discourse at length] let me announce the Winners of The Tri-Nations BackingBlack Member Mystery Prize Pack for the final time… before the End of Year Tour Begins!

A Big Celebratory Smile goes to JoshieD from Glenorchy, Otago, who may be freezing his not-so-little-self with all the recent polar pops, but the warming love has begun!  JoshieD picked the score of 24-20 to the All Blacks, and because he showed unusual insight and willingness to comment, he is a WINNER… A Big “W” to U!

However, we can smile out of both sides of our face, as we have a second WINNER, a second WINNER hailing from the Canterbury area, which has been shaken, stirred, but not broken.  With all the love we can put into a prize pack, we send our Celebratory Smile to Muey123, a Christchurch City Resident who picked the score of 27-22 to the All Blacks, which was right behind JoshieD’s for proximity and perceptiveness!

McCawesome-ness!!!

CONGRATULATIONS and CELEBRATIONS… Time to run outside like you have just won something… We will be in touch!

In my final moments of wasting your time, let me offer some encouragement as we journey together through another dawn of an All Blacks hiatus.  However, just like the night before a celebration where you get all the presents… and the pies, the time leading up to the EOYT will be an exciting ride of reflection and anticipation, as the BackingBlack Blogger… Blogs On!

There will be so much to type and so much to tell that one does not know where to start, but rest assured, your reading is required… and your comments forthwith!

On that keystroke I will bid you Good Day, with a reminder that you must come back to me very soon, as we have a plan for a post!

Time will be telling on this matter, and I am all out of consonants…

Until Next Time
