BackingBlackBlog: Seventeenth Piece

However, we wanted all those in Red n Black Country to know that we are, and have been thinking of you all. We are grateful that, although the shaking was shocking, you are still with us. Having family members living in the Garden City the impact of this seismic shift has been very personal, with this also touching all who have eyes to see the coverage beamed into our worldviews!

While Jim Anderton is being fingered out as the instigator of this event, history will record that the BackingBlack Blogging Behemoth recorded the following about a certain man [recorded on the 30th August] who had given much warning of his potential over the recent past, pointing to the reality that the big one would happen any day…

Introducing Aaron Cruden, the Young Man, Small in the Outer Man of his Exterior, however, it is only Seismologists who can gauge the “Sizemonic” earthquake of the Inner Man of his Interior, where Champions are Born, Reared, Nurtured, and Readied.

Yes, while his Interior has been shaking for some time, this coming Saturday, we will experience his first starting game in the All Black Exterior!  Sydney better watch out, because the small Exterior with the quaking Earth Interior has hit town, and Elvis is also reputed to be entering the arena-come-building, so there will be a whole lot of shaking goin on!

Feeling weak at the Knees?  Merrrrrrrrrcy!

To encourage you to get all giddy with-it, we are going to help set the scene this week, with this blogger’s next post about why Double “A” Ron Cruden Does Indeed Have “It”!

Now, if you don’t buy the Aaron Cruden Earthquake hypothesis, some have suggested that Canterbury were so excited and elated to see Sonny Bill Williams finally on the field that the Province couldn’t stop shaking! But surely this is a childish proposal, as it must be remembered that “the Quake” was felt all the way from Southland to New Plymouth. 😉

Maybe, maybe, SBW is just that Big.

Now, while these discussions are meant to bring a smile to your dial, particularly if you are experiencing another after-shock, just think how this is giving you some earthly experience into what it must be like being a Wobbly Supporter after another All Blacks clash!  As the Famous New York Yankees icon, Yogi Berra, once said, “It’s like Deja Vu all over again,” and with the All Blacks going for their 10th Straight over the “Jersey of Bling,” the Mellow Yellows are locked on loser!

And, we say, “Lock it in again!”

Seriously, it has been shockingly sobering to read, hear, watch, and view, the damage down South, and we at BackingBlack want to encourage you by saying, don’t let this put a “shake-down” on your hopes and dreams.  With the All Blacks’ 8 sons of Canterbury having to leave their families at such time, it’s an example for all of us to follow who are challenged by the… time for a big word… vicissitudes of life! If you can’t be bothered looking that one up, it means ‘changes in the state of things’!

This coming week, culminating on this Saturday night, we want to do all we can to give you a bit of All Black relief.

Therefore, please stay tuned to the blog, and don’t forget to follow the frivolities on Twitter… and Yes, there will be another “Pick the Score” Competition… We may need to have 2 Prize Packs… One for Canterbury members, and One for Everyone else… We will have to look inside the Competition Cupboard and get back to you on that one!

Finally, if ever the boys needed any more motivation on Saturday night, Canterbury you have provided this for our Boys in Black.  Not that any of us would have wanted it that way, but such is their love for their homeland that this quaking reality will surely motivate them to provide multiple moments of joy on a Saturday night.

After such a match, it will hopefully be very easy to get a good, undisturbed night’s sleep!

To all our BackingBlack members and All Black family members who are coping under fire, home is where the heart is, and right now, your heart is our home!

Keep the Faith and… KIA KAHA!

Remember, We Are All One With Christchurch!

Until Next Time
